Frequently Asked Questions

How do I contact you directly?

You may send an email directly to admin@rebatefx.com. If you have opened an account with the Broker through us, you will also have Skype,  MSN, and Yahoo Messenger contacts for instant chat support should you need it.

What is Forex?

FOREX (Foreign Exchange) is an Interbank system of exchanging foreign currencies at an agreed rate.

The Forex market began in it’s current form in the 1970’s when the world’s monetary system moved from fixed to floating rates of exchange.

Forex is a little different to other markets such as Stocks or securities in that the vast majority of the trading happens at computer terminals between banks rather than on a traditional market floor.

Another huge difference between Forex and other markets is the huge trading volume. Every day, between 1-3 Trillion dollars is traded in the worldwide Forex market. The worldwide Securities market is estimated at just 300 billion dollars daily.

There is yet another difference between Forex and other markets. Trading Stocks and Securities is suspended at the end of each day. Forex can be traded 24 hours a day, 5 days a week (Mon-Fri). The lack of a central trading floor allows the Forex market to remain open across timezones.

Can I get an ECN Forex Rebate?

Yes. You can get a competitive rebate from the commissions charged for your ECN trading. Contact us for details.

Do I need a lot of money to start?

Our Broker choice, allows you to open a live account from just US$25 (Or just $1 for micro accounts), so you don’t need to be a large player to participate in the market. You can also to use up to 1:500 leverage on your money. A trade of $20 of your money can actually be “leveraged” to $10,000 on the real market!

Can I lose money?

Yes you can lose money. 90% of new traders do lose money at least in the beginning. However, with careful risk management, the right training, and a lot of practice, you can minimise your losses and turn them into gains.

How does RebateFX.com make the money to pay me?

As an Introducing broker, we are paid a portion of the proceeds from the spread cost of every trade you make. The actual amount varies according to the currency pair traded and the volume you trade.

How much can I earn from RebateFX.com?

The sky’s the limit really. The more you trade, the more you get back from the trade rebate. RebateFX will pay you 50% of the proceeds. We believe a 50/50 spilt is fair and amicable. Trades must be closed +/- 4 pips to qualify for a rebate.

What if my trade loses? Do I still get a rebate?

Yes of course. The rebate comes from the spread when you make a trade. The spread is still there whether you win or lose. If you have a losing month, the rebate we pay you can take some of the edge off the loss and help you to recover.

I am already a profitable trader. Why do I want a rebate?

It’s simple. You already pay the spread on every trade you make. Doesn’t it make sense to get something back from it? Ask yourself, does your current broker give you a discount on the spread? No? RebateFX can change that.
The extra money guaranteed every month makes for a nice bonus to spend as you please.

How often are rebates paid out?

We pay your rebate automatically, once a month between the 1st and the 5th of the month and payments are made directly into your trading account.

Can I get a rebate on a micro account?

Yes, you can but the minimum payout of course is $0.01c

How are ECN Rebates calculated?

RebateFX is paid a portion of the ECN commissions charged. FXOpen charges $5 per round turn commission per standard lot for accounts under $50,000 or $3.60 per standard lot for accounts with a net deposit of over $50,000. As a RebateFX client, you would receive 50% of the portion of the ECN commission that FXOpen pays to RebateFX. The exact amount of rebate varies according to the currency pairs traded but it is fixed at 10% of the commission charged.
